This website uses as few cookies as it can get away with, and sets nothing
optional until you say so.
What a cookie is
A small file a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to
function. Others watch how the site is used.
What this site sets
Strictly necessary and functional
These do not need your consent, because the site cannot work safely or take a
booking without them. They do not track you across the web.
| Name or provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
rs_preview |
Used only during the build, to let invited people see the site before launch | 30 days |
| Session cookies | Keep the enquiry and feedback forms secure against cross-site submission | End of session |
| Cal.com (third party) | If you choose to load the booking calendar, Cal.com sets functional cookies and local storage needed to show available times and hold your booking securely. Cal.com’s calendar also contacts its own error-monitoring provider (Sentry), which is hosted in the United States | Varies |
How the booking calendar is handled here. The Cal.com calendar does not
load automatically. Nothing from Cal.com reaches your device until you press the
button to show available times. That way, reading this page sets nothing, and
loading the calendar is your decision rather than something done to you.
Optional, analytics
Nothing is set unless you press Accept all.
If you do accept, Google Analytics is used to understand which pages people read
and where they arrived from, so I can make the site more useful. It never tells
me who you are.
If you press Reject optional or Only essential cookies, no analytics
cookie is created. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage
rather than in a cookie, so refusing cookies does not itself set one.
Advertising
If I run advertising on Google or Meta, accepting analytics and marketing
cookies gives permission for those tracking scripts to run and to measure how
campaigns perform. They set cookies only after you have accepted. Consent
Mode v2 is configured so that refusing means refusing, rather than being
measured anyway in a reduced form.
What this site deliberately does not do
- No cookies before you consent
- No Google Fonts. Fonts are served from this server, so your IP address is not
shared with Google in order to display text - No Google reCAPTCHA, which would send your behaviour to the US
- No social media tracking pixels or embedded feeds
- No “legitimate interest” toggles pre-set in my favour
